Welcome to Day 3 of our August #EdTechTeacherChallenge. Today, I want you to think about things you usually put in your classroom every year. If you are new to teaching, what are something things you would like to have in your ideal classroom. Now I want you to make a list of your top 10 things that you must have. If you have more than 10 must haves, that's ok. I know it kind hard to quantify favorites. I want you to actually write this list down, or type it up in a Google Doc. I am of the mind that teachers should often reflect on their practice and room design, classroom organization, color scheme, etc. is a big part of that.
The reason for this reflection is to help you narrow down options for your Bitmoji Classroom. If you jump down the Bitmoji Classroom rabbit hole on any social media platform, you will see classrooms for any and everything with any theme you can imagine. It might be easy to copy what someone else does and make it your own, I find it more satisfying to do the creating myself. Having an idea in mind ahead of time makes the creation process go more smoothly.
Here is my classroom Top 10 (in no particular order):
1. Interactive Whiteboard
2. Desk and chair
3. Bookshelf w/ books
4. Posters
5. Computer
6. Bulletin Boards
7. Student Work
8. Rules & Expectations
9. Lesson Supplies (pens, pencils, markers, rulers, etc.)
10. Students
What's your list? Share it with me on social media @mrsmathmagician. I look forward to hearing from you.
Peace, Love and Happiness Always!
